Brownies are a kind of cake cut into bite sized pieces. Carefully melt the semi-sweet chocolate in a bowl placed over a pot with simmering water. In another bowl whisk the eggs until frothy. Slowly add the sugar and whisk until all the sugar is dissolved and the egg mix starts to thicken. Add the melted chocolate and oil; stir. In a third bowl combine the flour, salt, baking powder and vanilla powder. (In this recipe unsweetened vanilla powder is used. If you can't get vanilla powder use liquid vanilla extract instead. In this case add the vanilla extract together with the chocolate and oil!) Add the flour mix to the chocolate mix and stir until well combined and a smooth dough result. Grease a 10 x 10 inch baking pan and pour in the dough. If your baking pan is too big, fold a stripe from aluminum foil and use it to make your pan smaller. Don't forget to grease the aluminum foil too. Bake the brownies for 20-25 minutes in the pre-heated oven at 350 F. Let cool and cut into 2 inch squares.
