Beer Bread




Ingredients:
500 g / 1 lb
1 pk
1 tsp
1/2 tsp
0.5 l / 2 cups
plain flour
baking powder
salt
sugar
beer

Serves 15 - 131 cal per serving
Prep-time: 10 min. - Total-time: 90 min.
In a mixing bowl combine flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. By and by add the beer stirring continuously. The dough has a viscous consistency. Grease a cake tin and slightly dust with flour. Pour in the dough. Pre-heat the oven to 175 C / 350 F. Bake the Beer Bread on the middle rung for about 60 minutes. Using a wooden skewer test if the bread is done. If no dough sticks to the skewer after inserting it into the bread the bread is done. Turn off oven. Remove bread from tin and let rest on rack in oven for 10 minutes.
