Strawberry Cake

cake glaze red
sugar
cherry juice
water

Serves 12 - 279 cal per serving

Strawberry Cake with glaze is the classic of the cakes. For this recipe I made a fruitcake bottom (see recipe). Let the cake bottom cool completely than top with ripe strawberries. Use whole strawberries and line close-packed. In a pot mix red cake glaze and sugar. Add cherry-juice and water. Stir using a wire whisk until completely dissolved. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Set a side and let cool slightly. Using a tablespoon spread the glaze over the strawberries starting in the center of the cake. Put the cake in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes (depends on the setting of your refrigerator) and let the glaze set. Tip: If you can't get cake glaze prepare some jello instead and spread over strawberries (e.g. strawberry flavored).
