The American dressing is excellent for fresh salads. Combine yogurt and crème fraiche (s. recipe for crème fraiche in category dips) and stir until smooth. Add ketchup and mustard to the yogurt sauce and stir well. Season the American dressing with freshly squeezed lemon juice and sugar. Cut the chives in fine rolls and chop the parsley. Add to the dressing just before serving.
