Fried kohlrabi goes especially well with roast potatoes (s. recipe 'Roast Potatoes'). Peel kohlrabi and slice 1 cm / 1/2 inch thick. Season kohlrabi with pepper and salt. First dip kohlrabi in flour, then in whisked eggs and at last dredge in bread crumbs, turning to completely coat. In a coated pan heat margarine. Fry kohlrabi slices over medium heat for 3-5 minutes until golden. Flip kohlrabi slices using a spatula and fry on the other side for another 3-5 minutes. Put on paper towel to drain excess fat. Serve hot.
