Caesar dressing is a salad dressing that is classically served with crisp romaine lettuce. The special taste is achieved by salty anchovy fillets, therefore nothing else but pepper is added. The freshly grated Parmesan cheese is binding the dressing. Fill the French dressing and sour cream into a shaker. Add the freshly grated Parmesan cheese, capers and the, in water rinsed, anchovy fillets and mash it with a immersion blender. Season with freshly ground pepper and serve to taste with some capers and anchovy fillets, as seen above in the picture.
You can serve your Caesar dressing directly with some romaine lettuce, iceberg lettuce, some Parmesan, crispy fried bacon and some croutons.
If you don't have a blender, chop the ingredients very fine. Grind the anchovy fillets with the help of the broad side of your knife and stir into your dressing.
